NeverLate

Privacy Policy

Effective October 4, 2026

NeverLate is an independent Chrome extension that helps Plaksha University students track academic deadlines from the Plaksha LMS (lms.plaksha.edu.in, and its legacy address dle.plaksha.edu.in). NeverLate has no developer backend, analytics, or advertising, and does not sell user data.

Data handled

While you are signed in to the Plaksha LMS, NeverLate may process the institution name; your display name; course names, identifiers, links, deadlines, due dates, and related academic metadata; a Moodle session key used transiently for same-site requests; the LMS page address needed to validate extension messages; and your manual deadlines, completion status, reminder history, theme, alert, and calendar-export preferences.

Storage and retention

Course and deadline data, settings, completion status, and reminder history are stored locally on your device with chrome.storage.local. The developer cannot access that storage. Session keys are kept only in memory for a request and are never stored. Local data remains until replaced during synchronization, cleared through Chrome, or removed when the extension is uninstalled; manual deadlines can also be deleted individually.

Network requests and sharing

A small content script runs on Plaksha LMS pages to read your display name and, on the dashboard and course-list pages, your course list; it passes this only to NeverLate's own background worker on your device. NeverLate makes background requests only to the Plaksha LMS over HTTPS, using your existing browser session. It does not send portal data to the developer or to a developer-operated server.

When you explicitly choose Google Calendar or Outlook 365 export, NeverLate opens that provider's event-composition page with the selected deadline's title, course, date and time, optional location, and—if you keep the link option enabled—the activity link. That provider then handles the information under its privacy terms. An .ics export creates a local file.

Permissions

Security and Limited Use

NeverLate accepts only HTTPS Plaksha LMS addresses, restricts messages and activity links to the Plaksha LMS origin, removes known session or access-token parameters before storing links, and does not execute remotely hosted code. Its use of data obtained from Chrome APIs and connected websites complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Your choices

You control whether notifications are enabled, whether calendar exports include activity links, and whether any calendar export is initiated. Removing NeverLate deletes its local extension storage through Chrome.
